NHL 3 Stars of the Week: Oct 27th-Nov 2nd

A month into the NHL season, and we're seen some great hockey that's been played already. The three stars were hard to pick this week, but once again a goalie came up on top and takes the #1 spot. the other two spots were hard to choose, but I choose guys who not only had good statistics, but impacted their team in a major way as well. Here are my 3 Stars of the Week:

1. Marc-Andre Fleury, Goalie, Pittsburgh Penguins

3-0, 1.00 GAA, .959 SV%, 2 Shutouts

2. Vladamir Tarasenko, Right Wing, St. Louis Blues

7 Goals, 2 Assists, 9 Points, +6, 22 Shots on Goal

3. Chris Kunitz, Left Wing, Pittsburgh Penguins

5 Goals, 3 Assists, 8 Points, +5, 2 Game Winning Goals

NHL 3 Stars of the Week: Oct 20th-26th

We're now a couple weeks into the NHL season, and teams and players are starting to reveal their true identity. It was quite the entertaining last week in hockey, making it very hard to pick my stars for the week. A few great goaltending performances, as well as a few players who all had great weeks on the stat sheet. It was a hard decision; but here are my NHL 3 Stars for the week:

1. Jonathan Quick, Goalie, Los Angeles Kings

2-0, 1.00 GAA, .962 SV%, 1 Shutout

2. Corey Perry, Right Wing, Anaheim Ducks

4 Goals, 1 Assist, 5 Points, +4, 15 Shots on Goal

3. Keith Yandle, Defense, Arizona Coyotes

1 Goal, 3 Assists, 4 Points, +/- 0, 19 Shots on Goal, 4 Blocked Shots

NHL 3 Stars of the Week

The NHL season is in full swing, and so far it's been a great week and a half of exciting games. We've seen our usual all-star players perform, and powerhouse teams dominate, but the best part about every season is the surprises. There's been a few so far, but it's really still too early to tell if some of the unexpected players putting up points are for real, or if teams like the Predators or Islanders will continue to win and contend for their conferences this season. What we do know; is who played well these past ten days and earned recognition around the NHL.
Here are the 3 Stars of the Week:

1. Darcy Kuemper, Goalie, Minnesota Wild

2-1-0, 0.67 GAA, .972 SV%, 2 Shutouts

2. Sidney Crosby, Centre, Pittsburgh Penguins

4 Goals, 5 Assists, 9 Points, +1, 14 Shots on Goal

3. John Tavares, Centre, New York Islanders

2 Goals, 7 Assists, 9 Points, +/- 0, 17 Shots on Goal
