We're now nearly two months into the NBA season, and it's been about three weeks since I last updated my Power Rankings. The Warriors once again remain in the top spot, but other than that the rankings have completely changed since my last update. While the season is still very young, teams are starting to cement themselves as either a playoff team, or a team building for next year and the future. The West is once again the dominating conference, as there are 10 teams in the Superior Sixteen, and only 6 teams from the East. The rankings constantly shuffle throughout the season though, so continue to check back to see the updated Power Rankings. Here's how the teams stack up heading into the month of January:
1. Golden State Warriors (23-5)
2. Portland Trail Blazers (24-7)
3. Memphis Grizzlies (22-8)
4. Toronto Raptors (23-7)
5. Houston Rockets (21-7)
6. Atlanta Hawks (22-8)
7. Chicago Bulls (21-9)
8. Dallas Mavericks (21-10)
9. Washington Wizards (21-8)
10. Los Angeles Clippers (20-11)
11. Cleveland Cavaliers (18-11)
12. San Antonio Spurs (18-13)
13. Phoenix Suns (17-14)
14. New Orleans Pelicans (15-15)
15. Oklahoma City Thunder (15-16)
16. Milwaukee Bucks (15-16)
The NBA season is now in full swing, as it's about six weeks into the campaign. There have been a few shocking teams on both ends of the spectrum, with certain teams atop the standings that we did not expect to be doing this well. As always, there's also the teams that are predicted to do well, but are hurting because of injuries, or just flat out aren't getting it done. I will be posting my personal power rankings every couple weeks, so make sure to follow up each post! Here are my NBA Power Rankings so far:
1. Golden State Warriors (15-2)
2. Memphis Grizzlies (15-3)
3. Houston Rockets (14-4)
